DYSPLA Festival 2013

Hello dyslexic comunity,

My name is Kellee Farr or Dyslexicwhisper on social media. I am a dyslexic author based in California, best known for my poem on the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity, Dyslexic Words.

This year the DYSPLA Festival in London will be featuring my monologue in their Whispering Theater project. This is a great honor as they will have an actor reading my work in front of an audience throughout their festival, 11 – 17 Nov. 2013. My monologue is about the education systems roll in the dyslexic’s self image and embracing your dyslexia. Written in a catchy rhythm liken to Dr. Seuss. It is titled Maverick, Mother or Monster, after this years DYSPLA theme. They have also asked that I hand write the monologue so they can use it in The Letters Project, DYSPLA will be a part of Cambridge Dyslexia Exhibit Oct. 18, 2013.

The DYSPLA Festival celebrates the work and lives of dyslexic story makers, they are amazing advocates in our dyslexic community. I have had a great many e-mails of young adults and adults alike that are looking for a community where they can come together, as the amazing dyslexics they are, for support and friendship. From India to the USA I have met more dyslexics with a need for a voice. I believe it is in the humble accomplishments like my part in the DYSPLA Festival that will open these doors and give courage to others.

Thank you and all the best. I love our dyslexic community, Kellee Farr @Dyslexicwhisper

I would like to thank
